Animal Transport for Animal Care Professionals - 2024

Location: Maryland Zoo in Baltimore
This course covers the theory, concepts, and practical application of animal transport including
animal welfare and safety across all taxa. Role-playing of real life
shipping scenarios and hands-on crate design and modification create an interactive class experience.
Current domestic and international regulatory and legal requirements and
guidance will be discussed, as well as common
sense approaches to transport.
This course provides students with exposure to the philosophies,
regulations, and best practices that will help shape the future of
animal transport.
